Nvidia brings GTX 1650 and 1660 Ti to laptops

Nvidia is bringing the new GTX 1650 and 1660 Ti to budget gaming laptops. These are entry-level GPUs perfect for gaming laptops for as low as USD 799.

Some of the new laptops that will get the new entry level GPUs includes the updated Acer Nitro 5, ASUS ROG Zephyrus G, Dell G5, Gigabyte Aero 15, Lenovo Legion Y7000, and MSI GS65 Stealth.

Nvidia promises that the GTX 1660 Ti will perform 1.5 times better on graphic intensive AAA games such as Wolfenstein II, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. For esports title such as League of Legends, DOTA 2, PUBG, Fortnite and Apex Legends, they expect it to provide 100 frames per second and more. A non-Ti version for the GTX 1660 is not yet confirmed for laptops.

The GTX 1650 offers 1.7 times faster performance compared to the GTX 1050.

The GTX 1660 Ti has 1536 CUDA cores, 1140 - 1455Mhz base clock speeds, 1335 - 1590Mhz boost clock speeds, 60 - 80W TGP, 12Gbps memory speed, 6GB of GDDR6 memory, 192-bit memory interface and a 288GB per second memory bandwidth.

The GTX 1660 Ti has 1024 CUDA cores, 1020 - 1395Mhz base clock speeds, 1245 - 1560Mhz boost clock speeds, 35 - 50W TGP, 8Gbps memory speed, 4GB of GDDR5 memory, 128-bit memory interface and a 128GB per second memory bandwidth.

Nvidia also sets the GTX 1660 Ti to be the new minimum for VR which was GTX 1060 from last generation.
