The end of Apple's 5G woes?

Both companies have reached a global patent license agreement and a chipset supply agreement.

It is a six-year license agreement effective April 1, 2019 with a two-year option to extend. It also goes with a multiyear chipset supply agreement that will likely end Apple's connectivity woes.

To recall, Qualcomm asks court to ban iPhones in several countries and refused to sell 5G to Apple recently.

The settlement means good news to Apple users as Qualcomm is a key player when it comes to 5G chip making aside from Huawei.

It could help the American tech icon accelerate the development of 5G  ready phones and catch up with other other major players.

Currently, Qualcomm's X50 5G modem is found on several several 5G phones such as the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G, ZTE Axon Pro 5G, and Samsung's Galaxy Fold and S10+ 5G.
