Converge ICT Solutions recently deployed its first 400 Gbps backbone in the Philippines. It is designed to further improve the company's existing network capacity in the country.

In line with the company's push to provide fast and high quality service without data cap, the rollout gives way to 400G per channel at 64 channels of the equivalent of 25.6 terabytes per second at full capacity.

According to Converge, the backbone ensures that links to international gateways, data centers and CDNs will have a very high capacity.

The company revealed that financial institutions are the first beneficiaries of the deployment of the 400 Gbps backbone because they require high capacity connectivity or bandwidth to disaster recovery sites and internet service providers.

Converge claimed that the rollout of the 400Gbs backbone is the highest capacity technology in the Philippine market.
