Huawei releases Y9 Prime 2019 with pop-up cam and triple-cam

A few days after we released its full specs, Huawei silently revealed the Y9 Prime 2019 in its website. It's the company's second phone with a notchless full screen design with pop-up cameras.

P smart Z with triple-cam

Design-wise, it looks like the P smart Z with more cameras. It has 6.59-inch 2.5D curved IPS screen with FHD+ 2340 x 1080 resolution and a motorized 16MP f/2.2 motorized front facing camera.

Notchless screen

Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 comes with 16MP f/1.8 main camera, 8MP f/2.4 120-degree ultra wide-angle lens, and 2MP f/2.4 with PDAF and LED flash. The cameras also has AI to detect up to 22 different categories and over 500 scenes. It also has Huawei's Super Night Mode handheld long exposure technology.

Pop-up cam

Under the hood, everything looks decent for a Y series Huawei phone. It runs with the Kirin 710F chip, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, 4,000mAh battery, fingerprint scanner behind, and Android 9.0 Pie OS with EMUI 9.0 skin.

Huawei has yet to announce the price of this device. It is rumored to retail for around USD 300 or PHP 15.6K out of straight conversion.
