Lenovo just teased the
ThinkPad X1 folding prototype, a laptop with a big flexible screen design.

Foldable laptop anyone?

When fully opened, it's a 13-inch 4:3 OLED screen with 2K resolution that looks like a large tablet. To use it as a PC, use the kickstand and an external keyboard. Lenovo plans to release a compact companion Bluetooth keyboard for this PC.

When folded, it transforms into a laptop with 9.6-inch screen with the same size on-screen keyboard on the bottom half.

Of course, you can fully close the screen when the device is not in use. It will also feature an IR webcam, 2x USB-C ports, and Wacom stylus. It also runs with unpecified Intel/Windows platform.

Based on what Lenovo showed, it uses a special type of hinge design that reminds us of the Galaxy Fold.

But, Lenovo's design could be better. CNET reported that there's no awkward top layer on the screen which might tempt someone to peel it off and its edges of the display are better sealed.

So we hope that it can avoid the unwanted screen issues of the Galaxy Fold.

For now, we do not know the rest of the details including the missing specs, price, and date of availability yet.

Maybe in 2020?
