Realme to launch a 5G phone soon!

Straight out of a meeting room with founder Sky Li, realme CEO Madhav Sheth revealed on Twitter that the company plans to offer 5G devices soon!

Sheth added that realme will be among the first brands to bring 5G products globally this year and they are determined to bring the tech to India as early as possible.

It suggests that India will be the first country in the world that will enjoy a realme phone with 5G speeds.

Since it is a realme-branded 5G phone, we can also expect it to be more affordable than the current 5G devices out in the market today.

We are just unsure what type of phone will it be. There is a good chance that it will be a Snapdragon 855 powered handset with the X50 5G modem inside.

However, we won't be surprised if it will run with the newly announced MediaTek 5G SoC or rumored Snapdragon 735 mid-range 5G chip to keep the price of the device down.

We are also not sure yet when will it launch. Maybe at the end of 2019 or early 2020?

One thing is for sure, this is a pretty exciting news as we are entering the inevitable age of 5G.
