4,000mAh in 13 minutes of charge!

Vivo claims that it can charge a device with 4,000mAh battery in just 13 minutes. The company also said that it can charge the same battery capacity up to 50 percent in just 5 minutes.

It is way faster than the current 50W SuperVOOC solution of OPPO and Huawei Mate X's 55W SuperCharge.

What about safety?

Based on a report, Vivo uses a 20V/6A proprietary charger to achieve this feat. 120W is 120W and it might get hot.

But Vivo moved the Micro Controller Unit in the charging adapter to protect the smartphone from voltage overload and overheating.

Vivo also revealed that it has Battery Management System (BMS) for added safety that will the battery charging capacity to ensure a longer lasting battery.

Moreover, there's a two-channel IC to ensure "optimal power management".

The only "downside" is this tech will only work using Vivo's proprietary charger and compatible future phones.
