Huawei's Fortune 500 2019 rank is up by 11 spots

From number 83 in 2018 and number 72 in 2018, Huawei is now ranked 61st on the Fortune 500 list.

It is an 11-point climb from the rank versus 2018 suggesting that Huawei had another successful year.

The reason behind Huawei's increase in rank is the company's 22 percent increase in revenue and a 27.5 percent change in profits year-over-year (YoY). 

According to Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO Richard Yu, the success is also due to the company's dedication to delivering the latest technologies to our customers, with a sharp focus on innovation through a commitment to investing in R&D.

To recall, Fortune 500 is an important indicator that renowned companies use to measure their own strengths, size and international competitiveness, a parameter of the global economy that transcends beyond borders, nationality and cultural differences.

Aside from Fortune 500, Huawei entered the number 47th spot on BrandZ's annual Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands.
