Bye Samsung, Hello BOE?

Reportedly, Apple is aggressively testing BOE's OLED smartphone displays in an attempt to secure supply, lower dependence from Samsung displays, and cut costs.

Apple is said to decide by the end of this year whether it will take on BOE as a supplier.

The report also claimed that neither US nor Japanese display makers have been able to provide sufficiently high-quality OLED technology to Apple.

BOE Technology Group, China's largest display maker might be the one who is fit on the job.

Back in February, BOE has beaten LG as the largest LCD TV and monitor panel manufacturer in the world.

Huawei, the world's second-largest phone maker, also used them on non-faulty units of the Mate 20 Pro a year ago.

Currently, Apple is said to be testing BOE's flexible OLED displays from the company's facility in the Sichuan Province city of Chengdu, China.

Apple is expected to release at least two iPhones with OLED displays in 2020.
