Realme is on fire in India, beats Xiaomi as Flipkart's top smartphone brand

To those who don't know, Flipkart is one of the biggest e-commerce platforms in India, the world's second-largest smartphone market slightly behind of China. AND in India, realme, the newcomer smartphone brand is doing very well at Flipkart.

Realme is Flipkart's top smartphone brand for the month of June, July, and August 2019

In fact, realme CEO Madhav Sheth recently shared that its company is the TOP smartphone brand on Flipkart for June, July, and August 2019.

Beating Xiaomi in its own game in India

What's even more impressive is it captured 41.5 percent of the market share in August to beat Xiaomi with 30.2 percent. Xiaomi is followed by Vivo with 6.8 percent, ASUS with 6.0 percent, and "Others" at 15.5 percent.

In comparison, that's a third more than what Xiaomi achieved.

The company also claimed that it has sold 1 million smartphones at Flipkart during the "Festive Days" promotion.

That's very impressive as realme is just over a year-old smartphone brand and it is beating Xiaomi, the number 1 (overall) mobile brand in India to the punch at Flipkart.

Meanwhile in PH, realme launched the realme 5 and realme 5 Pro with ultra-competitive prices for the specs.
