As expected, both are the very first smartphones in the world equipped with Samsung's Exynos 980 5G mid-range chip.

5G, zoom, and more!

Vivo X30 and X30 Pro boast a similar design with  3D glass curved back with a protruded vertically aligned camera setup. In front, there's a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED 20:9 screen with FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution, a 2.98mm tiny punch-hole for the selfie camera, and a new-generation In-Display fingerprint scanner.

As mentioned, the phones are powered by the Exynos 980 chip based on the 8nm FinFET manufacturing process. It is an octa-core chip starring the Cortex-A77 ARM cores paired with Mali-G76 MP5 GPU.

The handset has 8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage, and 4,350mAh battery with USB-C 33W fast charging.

To keep the phone cool and the performance fast always, the X30 and X30 Pro has a liquid-cooling solution.

The difference between the two is the cameras. Vivo X30 sports a 64MP f/1.8 primary camera, 32MP f/2.0 portrait camera, and an 8MP f/2.2 112-degree ultra-wide camera.

Yes, it has a 32MP shooter for portraits. It also has the Backlight-HDR tech, Super Night Scene Mode 2.0 tech for a brighter and more detailed night shot, and up to 20x zoom. Vivo claimed that it can even capture the moon with the use of the full-moon mode and night mode.

X30 Pro, on the other hand, also uses the 64MP f/1.8 primary camera and 32MP f/2.0 portrait camera. But it has an extra 13MP periscope 5x zoom lens, and a wider 8MP f/2.2 112-degree ultra-wide camera.

With the help of the periscope zoom, the X30 Pro can do up to 60x zoom.

For selfies, both phones pack a 32MP f/2.45 shooter.

For connectivity, thanks to the Exynos 980, both have SA and NSA  (n41 and n78 bands) network support with up to 2.55Gbps 5G speeds.

There's a 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 5.8GHz WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and the new Funtouch OS 10 based on Android Pie. It brings a revamped UI, Multi-Turbo 2.5, dynamic wallpapers, and several software optimizations.

Weirdly, it doesn't load with Android 10 out of the box.

Vivo X30 128GB is priced at CNY 3,298 (around PHP 23.8K) while the 256GB version retails for CNY 3,598 (around PHP 26K).

Vivo X30 Pro 128GB retails for CNY 3,998 (around PHP 28.9K) and the 256GB model is priced at CNY 4,298 (around PHP 31K).

The phones will be available in China in late December. There's no word yet on international availability.
