Due to the ongoing threat from the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and the heightened community quarantine enforced by the Philippine government, ride-hailing apps Grab, Angkas, and JoyRide announced on Facebook that they will temporarily suspend their operations.

Grab, Angkas, JoyRide temporarily suspends operations due to Coronavirus outbreak
Grab said that they are pausing its GrabCar, GrabFood, GrabExpress, and GrabTrike operations in Luzon from March 17 until further notice to safeguard the communities from the threat of COVID-19.
Grab added that:
We are one with the government in combating the viral spread, and are working with the different government agencies to find ways to continue serving the needs of Filipinos during these times.
Angkas, on the other hand, also suspended its passenger services in Metro Manila from March 15, 2020. They said that Angkas Padala will continue its delivery service to serve those who are unable to travel or leave their homes or for emergency services.

It added that it supports the government's steadfast efforts to keep everyone safe from COVID-19.

Apart from Angkas, JoyRide also said that it has also suspended its Motorcycle Taxi ride-hailing services until further notice.
Meanwhile, we noticed that OWTO, another car-hailing app, can't be accessed on our phones.
