In an e-mail sent by Lazada Philippines, the e-commerce platform informed its customers that it is now delivering Essential Goods by the Department of Trade and Industry.

Essential Goods include food items, personal care items (including baby care items), alcohol and sanitizers, household supplies, laundry and cleaning equipment, and pet care essentials.

The company also said that the cash-on-delivery payment option is currently suspended to avoid delays and to adhere to the COVID-19 quarantine protocols. Customers are encouraged to use non-cash payment options like Credit Cards and LazWallet during checkouts.

Lastly, the company asks its customers for their patience as demand for the service is high  and delays are expected in these trying times.
