Facebook's standalone Gaming mobile up without ads is now available for download for Android users at the Google Play Store.

Twitch and YouTube have been dominating the game streaming service for years and Facebook is bidding to snag the top spot. On April 20, 2020, the Social Media giant is releasing its Facebook Gaming standalone mobile app.

The new app will primarily focus on letting users watch and creating game live streams with casual gaming and community functions. This means you can catch up with streamers and use the Go Live feature to stream mobile games through your Facebook page.

One key feature is that the Facebook Gaming app will have NO Ads and will rely on "Stars" (the Twitch bits equivalent) donations to generate income.

Whether or not this new initiative will be effective is up in the air. A few years ago, YouTube launched its own standalone gaming up but was taken down after four years in 2019.

The app is now available for download for Android users at the Google Play Store. Apple iOS users will have to wait until it has been approved by the Apple App Store.
