MIUI 12 is coming soon! |
First off, the MIUI 12 showcased improvements in design and animations. Xiaomi created its own framework dubbed as the MIUI Light Cone Motion Effect Architecture. This rendering engine allows for real-world light and shadow, advanced interface color combinations, real-time blur, and improved anti-aliasing for rounded corners.
For the framework's physical engine, it focuses on improved animation. Now, animation duration depends on the users' touch interaction. Opening and closing apps will also affect the respective app icons by stimulating a physical curve in 3D space. They are also introducing Layered Dynamic Icons that generate real-time feedback based on the direction and speed of gestures.
Opening and closing apps are also improved according to the users' pace. You can now close an app halfway through opening it. With Dynamic Form, screen rotation becomes smoother as well. Dark Mode 2.0 is also included in MIUI 12.
MIUI 12 also introduced Super Wallpapers. These are interactive wallpapers of Earth and Mars. You can interact with it just like on Google Earth. You can set your favorite angle of one of the planets as your live wallpaper as well as animated always-on-display.
There are also improvements in MIUI 12's privacy and security, multitasking, a new AI Phone Assistant, Health features, and more themes.
