The term "Coronavirus" became the 5th most searched term in the Philippines behind YouTube, Facebook, Translate, and MP3. It peaked at new heights on April 13 with the most searches done from Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, and Caraga region.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development also became a trending topic with an all-time high on April 5. Some of the searches that trended include the following:

"Coronavirus update whole world" with over 5000 percent increase

"Tasuku Honjo coronavirus" with over 2,950 percent increase

"How long does coronavirus last in the body?" with over 1,550 percent increase

Food topics such as recipes, bread, and cake also saw surges during April. Popular topics include "Dalgona coffee recipe instant coffee", "Puto pao recipe", "How to make condensed milk cake?" that all spiked at over 5,000 percent increased searches.
