In August 2019, Samsung announced the original Galaxy Book S equipped with the Snapdragon 8cx chipset. Now in mid-2020, the Korean giant has updated the Windows 10 laptop with the new Intel Core i5-L16G7 Lakefield chipset with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB/512GB eUFS storage.

In front of the device is a 13-inch FHD touch LCD display with slim bezels and a 1MP webcam. For audio, it features a quad-stereo speaker set-up that is tuned by AKG.

It connects via WiFi, LTE, 2 USB Type-C ports, a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack, and a microSD card reader. The 42Wh battery is rated for 17 hours of continuous video playback.

The laptop comes in either Gold or Gray colorways with the OS being either Windows 10 Home or Pro.

It weighs at only 950 grams and measures at 11.8 mm at its thickest point.

The new laptop is expected to ship by June 12 in the United Kingdom. There is no word yet on Philippine availability or pricing.
