Small food businesses get help from Erwan and Lark
Many businesses have suffered due to the COVID-19 pandemic that forced them to stop operations which in turn resulted in the loss of income. Some fortunate ones were able to stay in business by making adjustments to comply with health standards and other regulations.
Fortunately, Lark and blogger-entrepreneur Erwan Heussaff made a collaborative effort to help two small businesses in need. For those who don't know, Lark is an app that puts messaging, online docs and sheets, cloud storage, calendar, and video conferencing in a single suite.
Lark and Erwan were able to donate a total of PHP 600,000 to Heaven's Touch Cuisine and Pam's Catering. These are two Filipino food businesses found in NCR. The money will allow them to prepare up to 3,500 meals which will be distributed to Citihib, a company that provides affordable lodging for blue-collar workers in Metro Manila.
Heaven’s Touch Cuisine and Pam’s Catering were selected to receive this donation through an online contest hosted by Erwan and Lark last June. To join the contest, well-loved community establishments were nominated through videos submitted to Erwan via the Lark app. The video entries explained the importance of these businesses to the neighborhood, and why they needed help.
