Nokia collabs with ASUS, adds OZO Audio technology for ZenFone 7 and 7 Pro

Nokia Technologies earlier announced that it has collaborated with ASUS to implement the company's OZO Audio on the new ZenFone 7 series.

Under the collaboration, ASUS will be able to use Nokia OZO's proprietary audio technology designed and licensed for smartphones and cameras.

Thanks to the triple microphones of the ZenFone 7 and the Nokia OZO technology, the handset will be able to enjoy Audio 3D, Audio Focus, Audio Zoom, and Audio Windscreen features.

Nokia explained that Audio 3D enables users to capture natural, spatial sound recordings in selective direction. Audio Focus, on the other hand, can suppress distracting noises from crowded sonicscapes to focus on the most important audio. Audio Zoom matches the zoom of the camera by dynamically identifying and amplifying sound to correspond with the zoomed video. Audio Windscreen reduces wind distortion and adds clarity in windy conditions.

To recall, the new ZenFone 7 and 7 Pro are the newest smartphones of the company with flagship-level Snapdragon 865 and 865+ SoC solutions. The two highlights a 6.67-inch all-screen design with a flip mechanism with 64MP + 12MP + 8MP triple-cameras.
