Farmville is thanking its loyal supporters and gamers

Farmville became an instant hit after it was first released in 2009. In a statement posted on the Zynga website, they said that Facebook will totally stop supporting Flash games after this year. As a consequence, it will have a direct impact on the said game.

Aside from the short explanation, they also express gratitude to their supporters, those who played Farmville since the beginning. They said,

We're aware that many of you have been with us since the very beginning, helping to build an incredible global community of players over the years who’ve enjoyed this game just as much as we have. For that, we say thank you.

The in-app purchases for the game will be available until November 17 only, after that they are completely ending the payment system. However, players can still enjoy the game before its shutdown on the 31st of December. Farmville reminded that players should use any credits before the game's closure.

On the other hand, the creator of Farmville also announced that they are designing a new game that can be downloaded on smartphones. They are hinting two kinds of games, one is Farmville 2: Tropic Escape while the other one is Farmville 3 on mobile.

Thank you for the memories Farmville!
