realme launches bang-for-the-buck narzo 20 in the Philippines, priced at PHP 7,990!

Through an online event fast-rising realme today launched its first Narzo-branded phone in the country—the narzo 20.

The new phone to beat under PHP 8K?

realme is a budget smartphone with a fast gaming-capable chipset, big battery capacity with fast charging support, and a triple-camera setup.

V-shaped reflections

In particular, the handset sports an "extremely durable" textured curved polycarbonate shell with V-shaped reflections. realme said that the "V" symbolizes victory for the mobile gamers who will use this phone.

Large HD+ screen

In front, the narzo 20 is equipped with a 6.5-inch inch LCD (LTPS) panel with HD+ 1600 x 720 resolution. It is a display with a 20:9 cinematic aspect ratio, 88.7 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a notch housing the 8MP f/2.0 wide front camera.

Inside, it is one of the few to be powered by the gaming-capable 12nm MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. It is paired with a 1,000MHz Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU.

The SoC is backed with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB eMMC 5.1 expandable storage.

This chip of this device is considered as one of the most powerful found in this price point.

The other highlight of the phone is its use of the 6,000mAh battery capacity, the biggest in its class. This promises 117 hours of music, 43 hours of calling, 25 hours of YouTube, and 19 hours of Instagram. It also has a USB-C 18W Quick Charge technology to fill its tank faster versus traditional slow chargers.

At the back, the star of the show is the 48MP f/1.8 main camera with PDAF focus. It is assisted by an 8MP f/2.3 119-degree ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP f/2.4 4cm macro camera. It is a budget phone with Chroma Boost and Nightscape modes.

The phone also has a fingerprint scanner at the back, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and dual SIM slots.

It loads with Android 10 OS with realme UI 1.0 skin out of the box.
