Down to 120 points

Compared to the average score of 121 points back in October, the new camera rating of the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G is now lower at 120 points. When broken down, it has 122 points for Photo, 76 for Zoom, and 106 for Video.

Unfortunately, this new lower score made Samsung's current top phone have an even lower score than a lot of flagship smartphones. Its average score is now 5 points behind the 126 updated score of the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Galaxy S20 Ultra's score increased from 122 points to 126.

In comparison, Note20 Ultra's rival Huawei Mate 40 Pro is currently on top with an average score of 136 points. It is ahead by a massive 16 points.

To recall, Samsung dropped the 3D ToF camera on the S20 Ultra on the Note20 Ultra 5G. It is using a 108MP main cam, 12MP ultra-wide cam, and a 12MP telephoto cam.

DxOMark shared that for the most part, image quality on the Note20 Ultra 5G is very good, but it's mainly the fusion issues when zooming prevented the device from getting a higher camera ranking. It has a slightly lower texture, more noise, and darker exposure in low light compared to the S20 Ultra.

What do you guys think?
