To recap, S20 FE originally runs with the Android 10-based One UI 2.5. Now, it has One UI 3.0 is now based on the new Android 11 OS.
This new skin has a redesigned Home screen and quick panel which reduces distractions and highlights important information. Samsung also claimed that One UI 3.0 will help apps run quicker while consuming less power. This is due to its use of a new dynamic memory allocation to make apps run faster and perform better. The company also restricted background activities to provide better performance and power usage.
It is also said to have new privacy controls, one-time permissions, and enhanced Digital Wellbeing features.
Samsung also has new customization features like new image categories on the Dynamic Lock screen, Lock screen widget, interactive preview when setting a wallpaper, easier adjustment of the Always On Display/Lock screen, new icons, new lock screen widgets, and more.
It also disabled the use of WiFi Direct to send files to other devices. But, you can still receive files using WiFi Direct. Instead, it now has the Nearby Share.
Chromecast using Smart View is not available anymore too. It uses Google Home instead.
