To prevents its residents from getting the COVID-19 disease in the future, Manila's local government launched a website where residents can pre-register for the FREE vaccine.
In a Tweet, Isko shared that the city has reached out to US drug makers Pfizer and Moderna for vaccine supply and they have an established vaccination in process. On the website, the City of Manila assured that the vaccines are certified by the Food and Drug Administration.
1. Visit www.manilacovid19vaccine.com and click the "Register or Reserve button"
2. Fill up the Registration Form and click "Validate"
3. Enter the OTP number that will be sent to you and click "Register"
4. Click the "I Agree" button on the Waiver Page and affix your signature.
The website noted that the vaccines will be administered in two doses to be given four weeks apart. It provides disclaimers on the effect of the doses. It also warned that people may still get infected with the virus immediately after the vaccine is injected.
Isko added that the city has set aside PHP 200 million to buy COVID-19 vaccines and they may cancel more projects to free up more funds if needed.
