Wild Rift announces PHP 10M prize pool, and it is not easy to get

In order to further boost its presence in the country, League of Legends: Wild Rift will hold a tournament with a prize pool worth PHP 10 million.

Wild Rift announces PHP 10M prize pool!

Riot Games tasked Mineski-PPGL with an exclusive license to hold a grand tournament for the country. Minekski's general manager, Mark Navarro mentioned that all teams who will join are decided through massive open qualifiers and teams will have to advance via ladder format.

According to Mark Navarro, there are two major seasons called the "Summer Split and the Fall Split". By April, the open qualifiers will start and are divided into 4 regional cups namely North Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Those who will win can advance to the Group Stage where things will get interesting, there will be a point system.

Each point translates to real-world money (1 point = 1 peso). These points will be the key to each team's positioning and readiness to advance the playoffs.

Each season has 5 million points, this means there will be a total of 10million pesos when combined.

Mark Navarro said that the point system's role is to " hasten the growth of the professional scene in the Philippines" They intend to make our country home for great talents when it comes to playing Wild Rift.

By the end, having the top two teams from the seasons will have the chance to join the regional Super Cup finals.
