Las Piñas city now benefits from FREE Smart WiFi

Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) and the City of Las Piñas partner to bring FREE WiFi access to the people of the city.

Smart rolls out FREE WiFi in select areas in Las Piñas

This partnership sees selected barangays, elementary and high schools, and the city hall enjoy Smart fiber-powered WiFi connectivity for free.

And as distance learning continues to be the norm for the education sector, Smart is also working alongside the Department of Education (Dep-Ed) Las Piñas to aid more than 5,000 school children. Smart has already turned over PLDT Home WiFi units to improve the learning conditions of students in the area. The project is part of the telco’s CSR campaign Live Smarter for a Better World.

The next stop for Smart’s Barangay Connect project include Antipolo, Mandaluyong, Las Piñas, General Santos and Nueva Ecija. Barangays in these areas will soon enjoy free Wi-Fi from Smart.

According to Smart, they intend to empower individuals by providing them fast, secure, and FREE WiFi connectivity that will help them pursue their endeavors.
