The LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier is a PHP 8,699 hi-tech face mask. It has two H13 HEPA filters that are commonly used on bigger home air purifiers. These need constant maintenance and replacing periodically. There are also two fans inside for a constant flow of clean air. It also has a dedicated respiratory sensor that can detect your breathing rate to automatically adjust the fan speed as needed.

In terms of look, it does give out a cool cyberpunk-ish look (minus the RGB Neon lights). It has a bulky look which is expected since it packs a lot of tech including an 820mAh battery that promises up to 8 hours of continuous operation in low fan speed and 2 hours in high fan speed.

As a disclaimer, LG made it clear that the company does not promote any medical claims with the PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier. This is especially important as people may misinterpret the hi-tech mask to be the ultimate COVID-19 protection. Again, no studies have proven whether portable air purifiers are effective or not against COVID-19. 

Face masks are still key in flattening the curve during the COVID-19 pandemic and we encourage people to continue wearing your masks and face shield when in public. Proper sanitization and hygiene are also important.
