OnePlus 9R with 7nm Snapdragon 870 SoC, enhanced cooling system, and haptic feedback now official!

Alongside the new 9 and 9 Pro, the company also launched the OnePlus 9R for the Indian market.

OnePlus 9R targets those in need of a speedy yet premium-looking smartphone at a more budget-friendly price point.

The device sports a similar look coming from its OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro brothers at the back with a curved glass-like design, the rectangular camera hump with L-shaped arrangement, and the OnePlus logo in the middle.

Based on specs, it is like an upgraded OnePlus 8T, but more designed for gaming.

The device sports a Gorilla Glass protected 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution at 402 ppi. It also has a top-left-aligned punch-hole for the 16MP f/2.4 Sony IMX471m selfie camera with EIS for stabilization.

Inside, this is powered by the overclocked 3.2GHz 7nm Snapdragon 870 octa-core processor with Adreno 650 GPU. It also has 8GB LPDDR5/128GB UFS 3.1 storage or 12GB LPDDR4X/256GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with USB-C 65W Warp Charge 65 charging technology. 

Using the said fast charging tech, OnePlus claimed that the phone can be fully charged in just 29 minutes.

Keeping the performance in check is an enhanced cooling system with a larger vapor chamber to dissipate heat better. It also has a new Pro Gaming Mode and immersive haptic feedback.

For cameras, it sports a 48MP quad-cam configuration at the back with ultra-wide-angle, macro, and monochrome modes.

This device also has a stereo speaker setup, Dolby Atmos audio, and Android 11 OS with OxygenOS 11 skin.
