GSMArena reports that a recent Weibo post by the Xiaomi co-founder has shared some light on what could be the new cooling design for the upcoming Mi 11 Ultra. The said Mi 11 Ultra is expected to launch this coming Monday, March 29, 2021.

The recent Weibo post reveals that the Mi 11 Ultra will be the first smartphone to feature full-phase change cooling technology. If true, this means that the Mi 11 Ultra could be using an organic hydrocarbon material inside the phone that change states between solid, liquid or gas.

To recap, Xiaomi introduced a cooling system with three main elements in the Mi 10 that uses graphene, copper, and conductive film. The new cooling material in the Mi 11 Ultra could be different from this.

Whenever the core of the chipset heats up, this new material will change from solid to liquid while absorbing the heat. This heat will then make the liquid evaporate which will transfer the heat to the complementary VC soaking plate.

We will have to wait for this Monday to find out more details about this new cooling system.

GizmoChina expects that the Mi 11 Ultra will have a 6.81-inch OLED QHD+ curved display with 120Hz, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, 12GB RAM, and 5000mAh battery with 67W charging. At the back will probably be a 50MP main camera, 48MP Periscope telephoto and a 48MP ultra-wide camea.

What do you guys think?
