Watch: Xiaomi reveals 200W Wired and 120W Wireless Fast Charging solutions!

Xiaomi today just revealed its newest fast-charging solutions for mobile devices. It includes the 200W Wired and 120W Wireless Fast Charging tech.

Xiaomi's 200W Wired and 120W Wireless Fast Charging tech

Xiaomi said that both the 200W Wired and 220W Wireless Fast Charging produced new charging speed records using a custom build Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro smartphone with a 4,000mAh battery.

On its demo video, using the 200W Wired Charging, it was able to charge the phone from 0 to 50 percent in just 3 minutes. To complete the charging, Xiaomi's solution only needed 8 minutes.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi's 120W Wireless Fast Charging can charge the phone from 0 to 100 percent in just 15 minutes.

Xiaomi is calling this tech HyperCharge.

In comparison, this is way faster than OPPO's 125W wired charging that can charge a 4,000mAh battery in 20 minutes while maintaining a cool and safe temperature.

Xiaomi has yet to detail how they did this feat. Hopefully, it will be as safe as most fast-charging solutions today as 200W and 125W will likely generate more heat.

Also, we are unsure yet on when will Xiaomi make this tech available to its upcoming smartphones.
