The advantages of HarmonyOS 2 is explained in the online event last night |
HarmonyOS 2 features improved security, collaboration, and task management
During the event, Huawei introduced its latest smartphones, smartwatches, and tablets equipped with HarmonyOS 2. The company unveiled a new version of the Mate 40 Series, Mate X2, Watch 3 Series, MatePad Pro. Aside from that, it also revealed FreeBuds 4 with open-fit Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), two premium monitors: MateView and MateView GT.
As a next-generation operating system for smart devices, Huawei claims that HarmonyOS can provide a common language for various kinds of devices to connect and collaborate. For developers, HarmonyOS allows cross-platform development and cross-device deployment of apps, making the development of apps across devices easier than ever before.
The company further improved the operating system so they introduced HarmonyOS 2. It reportedly runs more smoothly compared to the last generation of EMUI.
This new OS from Huawei can keep opened apps running in the background so that your tasks are always available where you left off. In addition to this, the company said that a HarmonyOS 2-based device will have longer battery life.
Since Huawei aims to continue protecting user privacy, HarmonyOS features a multi-device collaborative identity authentication. When this is activated, users can only unlock their phones with a combination of facial recognition on their smartphone and a special check using a smartwatch.
