New Eligibility QP and COVID-19 vaccine Profile Picture Frames from Facebook

Previously, Facebook rolled out a COVID-19 public education campaign in APAC.  It aimed to equip people with the skills to spot misinformation related to COVID-19 vaccines. In the Philippines, the campaign ran ads on Facebook and Instagram, educating users through tips on how to spot COVID-19 misinformation online.

As the country continues to roll out its COVID-19 vaccination program, Filipino citizens have a lot of inquiries about vaccine eligibility and appointments. With this in mind, Facebook launched the new Eligibility QP and COVID-19 vaccine Profile Pictures.

These tools can help in connecting users to credible information regarding vaccines. At the same time, the new Eligibility QP and COVID-19 vaccine Profile Picture Frame can be means of supporting the vaccination drive in the country.

An in-feed notification will connect users to the DOH information center beginning July 23, 2021. It will provide details about vaccine eligibility. This includes the process of signing up for slots in their local community.

Aside from that, the info center will address the questions on how, where, and when to be vaccinated. Facebook  Philippine Head of Public Policy Clare Amador explained further,

As the access to COVID-19 vaccines expands, we’re partnering with the DOH to provide tools on Facebook in the Philippines, so people can check if they are eligible to get the vaccine, and where they can get vaccinated. This campaign provides a link to the DOH website where they can get authoritative information on vaccines.

According to some studies, social norms can heavily affect people's behaviors when it comes to health matters. They are more likely open to getting a jab when they see someone they trust doing it. Because of this, the social media giant is also bringing new COVID-19 vaccine profile frames.

The "I got my COVID-19  vaccine" and "Let’s get vaccinated" profile picture frames will allow Filipinos to show their support for the vaccination drive. These may even encourage their families and communities to do the same.
