Meet realme Watch 2 Pro - Essentials on your wrist for less

Meet realme Watch 2 Pro

Of course the wearable arrives in the familiar yellow box. Inside we get the Watch 2 Pro itself, charging dock, USB Type-A, and paper manual.

The watch's build on front is made of glass paired with a plastic back and frame.The watch itself feels premium although it's prone to scratches and fingerprint marks. Meanwhile, the 22mm strap is also made of plastic that doesn't feel premium.

On the left side is a smooth surface while on the right side is the single button with a golden accent. This button can be used to turn on and off the watch, and return to home.

In front is the 1.79-inch IPS LCD display with 320 x 385 resolution at 286 ppi. The display brightness can be set from 20, 40, 60, 80, to 100 percent level. At brightness level 100, the screen is bright enough to be easily readable even under direct sunlight.

Although it is on an IPS LCD display, it still produces images that are vibrant and detailed. The touch screen is also responsive and accurate. As of writing, we have never experienced any misreading of our taps and gestures.

The watch's raise to wake feature is on by default. 

At the bottom are the sensors, and CPU contacts for the charging dock.

To start using the Watch 2 Pro, you must first download the realme Link app on your smartphone. Whether you're an iOS or Android user like me, you can be able to pair the watch in the app. 

Upon starting up the Watch, it will ask you to pair using the realme Link app with a unique QR code and then pair with Bluetooth 5.0.

Once set-up, users can control, monitor, and track their activities with the Watch 2 Pro. Users can even use the watch as a stopwatch or as a multimedia or camera app remote. You can also customize the apps and the look of the watch faces. 

Stellar battery life!

The watch is packed with a big 390mAh battery that realme claims can reach 14-days. We can't attest to this yet since the Watch 2 Pro has only been with us for a couple of days, but as of writing, we haven't charged it so far. 

We were also able to choose which apps will be allowed to push notifications to the watch. My personal favorites include Messenger, Instagram, Gmail, and the like. 

The watch vibrates whenever there is a notification. There are three vibration intensities, low, medium, and high. By default, it is set on medium.

Sensors

For the workout modes, there's plenty of variation to choose from such as Indoor/Outdoor running/walking, Outdoor Cycling, Spinning, Strength Training, Football, Basketball, Jump Rope, Yoga, and many more.

It also comes with its own GPS so as to track up to 90 different types of exercise.

Feature-rich wearable!

Another handy feature in this wearable is the SpO2 (Blood Oxygen). It measures the Blood Oxygen levels but requires the user to have their hand stay still for the duration of the measurement.

It also has an automated 24-hour heart rate measurement. 

realme Watch 2 Pro also monitors, tracks, and records the user's sleeping pattern and activities. We personally love that we are being reminded to rehydrate ourselves most especially when we are hampered with workload.
