Sony launches ZV-E10 vlogging camera with APS-C interchangeable lens!
ZV-E10

Slightly bigger, but better than the popular ZV-1?

It retained most of the features that made the compact ZV-1 popular for vloggers like the shortcuts Product Showcase to quickly focus on several items, Background Defocus for bokeh effect, and Exposure along with the Directional 3-Capsule Mic built-in with a windscreen included in the box.

Since the camera is bigger, it has the real estate to accommodate a larger sensor with an interchangeable lens, headphone jack, better battery life, and bigger grip, among others.

The new Sony ZV-E10 uses a 24.2MP sensor with Fast Hybrid AF, Real-time Eye AF for Video (Real-time Tracking to keep track of the subject's face and eyes) as well as an ISO range of 100 to 32000. It also has AF Transition Speed and AF Subject Shift Sensitivity.

The cam can record up to 4K at 30fps from oversampled 6K footage and Slow-motion videos up to 1080p at 120fps as well as Interval Shooting for time-lapse videos.

It also has Hybrid Log-Gamma (HDR)/S-Gamut3.Cine/S-Log3, S-Gamut3/S-Log3 profiles. It doesn't have in-body stabilization, but it has EIS (electronic stabilization).

The device retained the fully articulated touchscreen display (3-inch) for easier operation with the Touch Focus function.

Also, it has a Shoe Cap and a mic jack to connect an external mic and Digital Audio interface via Multi Interface (MI).

There is also a MOVIE button that is conveniently located on top of the camera, retained the recording lap (tally light) on the front for an at-a-glance-indication of recording status, and a red frame on the LCD screen that appears while recording to quickly and easily let the user know if the recording is active when behind the camera.

From the 45 minutes of the ZV-1, it now has up to 80 minutes of video recording or 400 images on a single charge. It now charges via USB-C unlike the micro USB of ZV-1 as well.

Of course, it has a slot for the microSD card.

To conserve the camera’s battery, the Alpha ZV-E10’s Vari-angle LCD Screen allows the user to put the camera into Power save mode by closing it and instantly shoot by opening the panel.

The camera also supports Livestreaming via USB that supports Android 11 powered phones. But, it is not available on iOS devices yet.

To easily transfer data, the camera can be paired with the Imaging Edge Mobile app via WiFi. It also has Bluetooth for the optional Shooting Grip with Wireless Remote Commander (GP-VPT2BT, sold separately).

It is available in Black and White colorways. The camera weighs just 343 grams.
