Converge named as the Best ICT Solutions Provider at the Global Economics Awards 2021

Converge has recently bagged two international recognitions at the Global Economics Awards 2021.

Not just one, but two awards!

As a quick backgrounder, the Global Economics Awards is an award-giving body that recognizes key players in the different sectors of businesses. It also provides global recognition and outreach to its recipients.

Converge was recognized in two awards categories. First, of the two prestigious titles, the telco company earned is the Best ICT Solutions Provider under the Technology Awards category.  Meanwhile, their CEO and Co-Founder Dennis Anthony H. Uy was awarded Best Entrepreneur - ICT under the Leadership Awards Category.

These awards are a testament to how the company remains committed to live by its mandate of serving the unserved and underserved communities in the Philippines, said Converge CEO and Co-Founder Dennis Anthony Uy.

The award is well deserved, why? In a report we wrote in the latter part of July, Converge has come out to be the most consistent fixed internet provider in 6 regions for Q2 2021 according to a report by internet test expert, Ookla. 

Converge has also embarked on a massive expansion program to fiber-power more Filipinos with a goal to reach 55 percent of the Philippine households by 2025. 

As of the latter part of June 2021, the fiber broadband network of Converge has passed over eight million homes as it expanded beyond Luzon and started serving Visayas and Mindanao with pure fiber broadband services.
