realme 8i with 120Hz FHD+ screen, Helio G96, and 50MP main camera now official in India

Along with the realme 8S, the company also launched the realme 8i. It features a 120Hz screen, the MediaTek Helio G96, and a 50MP main camera.

realme 8i features

For the looks, it has a shiny finish with two colors in Space Purple and Space Black. It has a square camera bump housing the triple-camera setup and LED flash. It has a small realme branding and nothing else at the back. It also has a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.

For the display, it features a 6.6-inch LCD screen with 2412 x 1080, 120Hz refresh rate with adaptive refresh rates from 30Hz to 120Hz, and a 90.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. Inside, it features the 2.05GHz 12nm MediaTek Helio G96 octa-core processor, Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 256GB UFS 2.1 expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. It also has 5GB virtual RAM for a total of 11GB extended RAM.

For cameras, it has a quad-camera setup with a 50MP f/1.8 Samsung JN1 main sensor + 2MP monochrome portrait sensor + 2MP f/2.4 4cm macro sensor with LED flash. It also has a 16MP f/2.45 selfie camera.

It runs Android 11 out of the box with realme UI 2.0 on top. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. face unlock, 3.5mm headphone jack, dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, and USB-C port.

The first sale of the device is on September 14, 2021. There's no word if it will be available in the country soon.
