realme 8s 5G with 6nm MTK Dimensity 810 SoC now official!

On schedule, realme today launched the realme 8s 5G alongside the 8i.

realme 8s 5G is the very first smartphone in the world equipped with the new MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC. It's a 5G-ready mid-range chip based on the 6nm manufacturing process with up to 2.4GHz clock speed and Mali-G57 MC2.

On paper, it is also an upgrade coming from the impressive realme 8 5G.

For the device itself, it is available in a curved back design in Universe Blue and Universe Purple colors, a 6.5-inch LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and a punch-hole to house the 16MP selfie camera.

It is paired with 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB expandable storage via dedicated microSD card slot, and a 5,000mAh battery with USB-C 33W fast charging. The 33W power brick is included in the box.

For cameras, it is packed with a 64MP f/1.8 main shooter + 2MP f/2.4 macro + 2MP f/2.4 mono + LED flash.

The device also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader that doubles as the power key, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE (apart from 5G), Bluetooth 5.1, and Android 11 OS with realme UI 2.0 skin on top.
