A new smartphone has been spotted and it's from an unusual brand that you could probably think of—the Wendy's phone!
In all seriousness, the fast-food chain Wendy's seems to have a new gimmick to attract customers. The Canadian branch is holding a contest where they will be giving away 20 custom Android handsets as a prize.
According to a post noticed by MobileSyrup, in order to qualify in this contest, the Canadian people living outside of Quebec must first download the official Wendy's app. Then they will need to screenshot their favorite order and share it on Twitter with the hashtags #Contest and #WendysPhone.
This event will continue from September 27 through October 17, with a phone being given away every day. The 20th winner will be chosen during a live stream on the last day. This will start at 7 PM ET on October 17.
Obviously, the customized handset is just probably a rebranded budget device. It's a bit hard to tell what exactly it exactly looks like due to most of its renders have a case with it. But you can clearly see that its case has the logo of the fast-food chain and is in iconic red color.
Moreover, are some specifications that have been confirmed based on the Canadian outlet's website.
It will be using a 6.4-inch HD+ display, a triple camera set-up, a GPS navigation system, and a fingerprint sensor. Other than that, there is no more information about this device.
Lastly, it will also have its own Hey Wendy for voice commands which is similar to Hey Google and Hey Siri from Android and iOS respectively. Although we're not sure which voice assistant will be triggered using this wake word.
What do you guys think?
