Apple iPad and iPad mini (2021) now available in the Philippines, starts PHP 19,990

Apple's latest tablet offerings iPad and iPad mini (2021) is now available in the Philippines.

New iPads now available in the Philippines!

To recap, the iPad (2021) sports a 10.2-inch LCD Retina display with 2160x1620 at 264 PPI resolution and True Tone with a newly upgraded ambient light sensor.

Inside, it used the 7nm Apple A13 Bionic chip which is 20 percent faster than the previous generation. It is paired with 3GB of RAM and  64GB and 256GB storage options.

It is also powered with a 32.4WHr LiPo battery and can be charged by a Lightning USB-C 20W Power Adapter.

As for its camera, it uses a single 12MP ultra-wide-angle shooter with Center Stage.

Other features include Touch ID, stereo speakers, Apple Pencil 1st Generation support. For connectivity, it has dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2. For its OS, it uses iPadOS 15 with a new widget layout, portrait mode for FaceTime, and many more.

The device measures 250.6 x 174.1 x 7.5 mm and weighs 487 g (WiFi) or 498 g (WiFi + Cellular).

iPad mini 2021

Moving to the iPad mini 2021, to recap, it has narrower bezels, rounded corners, a larger screen, stereo speakers, and a 5G connection.

The latest iPad mini features an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display with up to 500 nits peak brightness True Tone, P3 Wide color gamut, and anti-reflective coating. You'll notice around its display are the narrower bezels that were done by moving the Touch ID sensor to the top button of the iPad Mini.

Inside this device is no joke as it is powered with the latest 5nm A15 Bionic chip which the company claims can bring up to 80 percent more power than its previous A14 chip. It features 2-high performance cores, 4 high-efficiency cores, a faster Neural Engine, and 5-core GPU. It also has 4GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage options.

For the battery, it uses 19.3 WHr which apple claims will give you 10 hours of usage with the WiFi and 9 hours if using data connection.

The camera, at the back, uses a 12MP f/1.8 sensor with LED flash. It also features an updated 12MP ultra-wide front camera which is also compatible with Apple's Center Stage.

The mini also uses landscape stereo speakers.

Apple has also improved the new iPad Mini's connectivity with USB-C, WiFi 6, and 5G. It now also works with the Apple Pencil (2nd Generation), which connects to the iPad mini magnetically for wireless charging and pairing.

The new tablet will come preloaded with iPadOS 15, which includes new widget layouts, system-wide Notes, enhanced multitasking, Focus mode, Facetime enhancements, and more.

Furthermore, there are four color options for the tablet: Space Gray, Pink, Purple, and Starlight. Apple claims the enclosure is made entirely of recyclable aluminum.

New Smart Folio covers are available in Black, White, English Lavender, Dark Cherry, and Electric Orange to go with the new tablet.
