Designed for basic mid-rangers, the new Snapdragon 680 was designed using the new 6nm fabrication. It uses Kryo 265 CPU cores, but with the old Adreno 610 GPU. Interestingly, it'll come with the Spectra 346 triple ISP and that's rare for a mid-range chipset and it could be great for camera-focused phones. Unfortunately, as the name suggests, it only has 4G connectivity.

Next is the Snapdragon 480+, the upgraded version of the Snapdragon 480. It is fabbed under the slightly older 8nm manufacturing processor, but it is using more powerful Kryo 460 CPU cores and an Adreno 619 GPU. The clock speed of the CPU is also up from 2.0GHz to 2.2GHz.

The chip also has support for 1080p+ displays up to 120Hz versus the 90Hz of Snapdragon 680. Moreover, it has the X51 modem with support for both sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G.

Snapdragon 695 is the upgrade of the Snapdragon 690. Basically, it now has mmWave 5G support instead of just sub-6GHz. It also has improved performance as it is now fabbed under the 6nm process with a Kryo 660 core and Adreno 619 GPU. So, this is now 15 percent faster and 30 percent faster in the CPU and GPU, respectively versus 690.

The new Snapdragon 778G+ is the upgrade of the 778G. It is still fabbed at the 6nm manufacturing process but now has a higher clock speed at 2.5GHz vs 2.4GHz. Its Adreno 642L GPU has been upgraded as well with a promised up to 20 percent higher performance. The rest are the same.

According to Qualcomm, the new chips will be available with the following OEMs: HMD Global (Nokia), HONOR, Motorola, OPPO, vivo, and Xiaomi.

There is no timetable at the moment yet though.
