What is Cisco Meraki Z3?

The Cisco Meraki Z3 is a cloud-managed teleworker gateway. In simpler terms, it is a wireless router with an enterprise-level firewall and VPN gateway. The Meraki Z3 features a 4-port switch with 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports. It also has dual-band WiFi with 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wave 2 and 802.11ac Wave 2 support.

Other features include Meraki Auto VPN, 802.1x authentication, and Power over Ethernet support. It also has security features that allow administrators can control security and productivity by deploying services for different uses such as VoIP, virtual desktops, and Layer 7 traffic shaping through time-saving Zero Touch configuration.

For managing the Meraki Z3 router, you can do via a browser-based interface and the Meraki Enterprise Cloud Dashboard. Deploying remotely is also done easily since the Meraki Z3 is self-configuring and managed over the internet.
