Globe has also partnered with local government units to provide them free SMS blast services for 30 days. The service is expected to help LGUs in their ongoing community disaster relief and recovery operations and to complement areas with a restored cellular signal.

Palawan, Southern Leyte, and Cebu municipalities Naga, Cordova, and the city of Mandaue are now covered by this service, Globe said.

Other LGUs can approach Globe Business representatives until the end of next month to tap the same assistance.

Aside from that, Globe has been also encouraging its subscribers to donate for Odette victims. Through its Globe Rewards and GCash initiative, the company has already raised about PHP 19.5 million.

The telco giant is also still providing free calls and charging services to affected regions.
