The book was authored by Henry Aguda, Catherine Casas, and Atty. Nathan Marasigan. It aims to spread knowledge about blockchain to enable more Filipinos to build businesses around the new technology. Blockchain can either be the next step for Filipinos' financial inclusion and the book aims to localize the technology's uprise and show how blockchain can transform local industries.

In their new book, Opening the Archipelago: the Story of Blockchain in the Philippines, the authors go into further detail about this. The book, which is divided into three sections, covers the history of blockchain, the latest use cases, and projects in the Philippines, as well as the regulatory landscape in the field.
