Watch: TECNO showcased the world's first 5x Telescopic Macro Lens

Apart from the 3 future camera technologies that the company will reveal this year, TECNO recently teased the world's first 5x telescopic macro lens.

The first 5x Telescopic Macro Lens in the world!

Designed to significantly improve the quality of macro shots taken by smartphones, TECNO's  5x Telescopic Macro Lens has a telephoto macro lens that extends from the body allowing its users to take close-up shots without the need of getting too close to the subject.

As mentioned, it has 5x zoom (optical). According to the company, the output of this is comparable to the main camera. If their claim is correct, this will provide better results than current macro camera technologies and will allow for a bigger aperture that is crucial for taking good photos.

TECNO is also saying that its design is quite compact and doesn't require big housing.

The rest of the details on how did they make this tech possible hasn't been revealed yet though.

We are also unsure of when will TECNO turn this into an actual product. Likely this year as well?
