DITO Telecommunity expands mobile services to Zamboanga City

Third telco DITO Telecommunity has launched its mobile services in Zamboanga City, Zamboanga Del Sur in Mindanao.

DITO continues to expand its presence

Filipinos residing in the area can now access DITO's mobile network, the company said in a statement.

A few weeks ago, the telco player expanded its coverage to more Luzon municipalities—Bayombong, in Nueva Vizcaya; Mabini, Pangasinan, and Pozorrubio, Pangasinan.

Those who purchased DITO Starter Packs will get an extra 2GB of high-speed data once activated. This is on top of the DITO Starter Pack’s 3GB of data.

The promo runs from January 27 to March 31 of this year.

The DITO Starter Pack is perfect for those who are looking to move to DITO, the group said.

To recap, the Starter Pack includes the DITO SIM and 3GB of open data, unlimited texts to all networks, unlimited DITO-to-DITO calls, and 100 minutes of calls to other networks. Consumers can purchase this for PHP 49.

DITO Telecommunity Chief Technology Officer Rodolfo D. Santiago earlier said the company is targeting to spend over PHP 50 billion for its 2022 network rollout.

By July, the official also expressed optimism the new entrant could deliver 55 Mbps average download speed. So far, the company has already deployed 4,500 towers.
