STI's 2nd Semester pushes through via remote learning and online OJT

STI will push through with its second semester via remote learning and online OJT. This is the ONline and ONsite Education at STI Learning Model.

STI 2nd semester via ONE STI Learning Model starts

ONE STI Learning Model continues on for its 2nd Semester

The ONE STI Learning Model, which was first implemented during the 2020-2021 school year, intends to deliver the desired learning outcome for students by integrating online tools with limited onsite or on-campus hands-on teaching.

STI will also offer online OJT options in its 2nd semester as an alternative for students to develop soft skills and apply what they have learned in school without the need to be physically present on the job sites. Email, chat platforms, video conferences, and webinars, among other digital tools, will be used for trainee-employer engagements.

According to STI, there has been a lot of positive feedback from its partners. STI's first batch that went under its virtual OJT was its 3rd year BA in Communication and Bachelor of Multimedia Arts students from SY 2020-2021.

The virtual OJT provides students with work-related possibilities without jeopardizing their health and safety, as mandated by the Commission on Higher Education during the epidemic. The program received only good responses from the communications and multimedia companies that cooperated with STI. With the support of their OJT advisers, pioneer trainees of the online OJT were able to get onboard in these companies.

STI also announced that students and transferees looking to enroll during this second semester are eligible for STI's financial aid programs such as the PAG-IBIG-STI Educational Assistance Program and GSIS-STI Educational Assistance Program.
