MWC 2022: Samsung announces Galaxy Book2 Pro, Book2 Pro 360

At its recent Galaxy MWC 2022 event, Samsung announced the new Galaxy Book2 Pro series. These are two new laptops designed for professionals.

First, both laptops come in 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch sizes. Of course, as the name implies the Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 has a 360-degree hinge making it a 2-in-1 device. Both feature ab AMOLED screen with 1080p resolution, 400 nits typical brightness, and 500 nits in HDR mode. The Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 has S Pen support.

Inside, the Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 will feature a 12th Gem Intel Core i7 or i5 processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics. It also has up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The battery of the 13.3-inch Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 is 63WHr, while the 15.6-inch variant is 68WHr. Both variants have a Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB-C ports, a 3.5mm headphone and mic combo jack, and a microSD card reader. The USB-C connector supports charging up to 65W.

The 13.3-inch variant has a backlit TKL keyboard, while the 15.6-inch model has a numpad. The power button also doubles as a fingerprint scanner. A 1080p webcam and a twin array microphone are also included. The 13.3-inch variant has two AKG 4W speakers while the larger laptop has two AKG-tuned 5W speakers. There's WiFi 6 for fast connectivity as well.

Then there's the Galaxy Book2 Pro. The display size, resolution, and battery capacity are virtually the same as the Book2 Pro 360. Of course, it is a traditional laptop with no 360-hinge. Intel's ARC would be the discrete GPU.

There's a 1x Thunderbolt 4 port, 1x USB-C port, 1x full-sized USB 3.2 port, a 3.5mm combo jack, and a microSD card are available on the 13.3-inch Galaxy Book2 Pro. The 15.6-inch variant has a full-sized HDMI port as well as a SIM card slot for a 5G connection.

The Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 is available in Silver, Graphite, and Burgundy while the Book2 Pro is available in Silver and Graphite only.
