Huawei Mate Xs 2 with SD888 and stylus support, MatePad SE now official

Huawei Mate Xs 2

First up, we have the Huawei Mate Xs 2 with a slight redesign. First up, we have a 7.8-inch foldable OLED screen with a 2480 x 2220 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. When folded, it shrinks down to 6.5-inches with a 2480 x 1176 resolution. There is a punch-hole cutout at the top-right corner of the display as well. The screen is also more durable with its polymer-cover protection with a 4-layer structure. This also makes it well-suited for the Huawei M-Pen 2s stylus.

It also has an improved double rotor hinge mechanism that boasts better longer durability and tones down the visible crease on the display. It is also significantly lighter than the last iteration at 225 grams than 300 grams.

Inside, it has the 2.84GHz Snapdragon 888 4G octa-core processor, Adreno 660 GPU, up to 12GB RAM, up to 512GB storage, and a 4,880mAh battery with 66W fast charging. For cameras, it has a triple-camera setup with 50MP main camera + 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor + 8MP telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom, 30X digital zoom, and OIS with LED flash. It also has a dedicated 10MP selfie camera.

On the other hand, the Huawei MatePad SE features a 10.1-inch IPS LCD screen with a 1920 x 1200 resolution. It also has the Huawei Kirin 710A octa-core processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, and a 5,100mAh battery with 10W charging. For cameras, it has a 5MP main camera and a 2MP selfie camera.

China price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

Huawei Mate Xs 2 12GB/512GB - CNY 12,999 (around PHP 103K)

The Huawei Mate Xs comes in White, Black, and Purple while the MatePad SE comes in Dark Blue only. Both are only confirmed in China as of now. No word about local pricing and availability yet. We will update you as soon as we get more information.
