All three smartphones offer AMOLED screen, quad cameras, Android 11, big batteries, and fast charging support. One of the big differences is the price tag. Redmi Note 11 sells for only PHP 8,999 vs. the other two's PHP 13,990 and PHP 13,999.

But, we will set them against each other to see which comes out with a better build, design, multimedia experience, performance, and cameras.

Build Quality/Design

Two minimalists, one loud design
Two minimalists, one loud design

The Redmi Note 11 has a clean and minimalist design. It has a rectangular cutout to house the cameras and LED flash. The camera bump is a bit big, but it is just fine and normal on mid-range phones.

Redmi Note 11 has a minimalist design that can keep up with more expensive smartphones!

A relatively large Redmi branding is placed at the lower left of the handset's back that has a matte finish. It's made from a plastic backplate with a glass display and metal camera hump. The phone weighs 179 grams and has dimensions of 159.87 x 73.87 x 8.09 mm.

On the other hand, the OPPO A94 has a stunning and playful design with a smaller rectangular camera hump at the back for the quad cameras. The Fantastic Purple presents a two-tone gradient with a smooth and glossy finish. It is made from a glasstic material with an OPPO branding placed on the lower right. It weighs light at only 172 grams and measures 160.1 x 73.2 x 7.8 mm.

The Samsung Galaxy A32 features a slim, sleek, and flat body with a matte design. The three out of four cameras present themselves through three protruding lenses with the Samsung branding placed on the lower middle of the phone's back. Obviously, the handset is made from high-quality polycarbonate material. It weighs 184 grams and measures 158.9 x 73.6 x 8.4 mm.

Among the three, OPPO's design stood out. It's eye-catching enough to outdo the simplicity of the two. However, it is also a fingerprint and dust magnet. The matte finish of the Redmi Note 11 and Samsung Galaxy A32 worked to their advantage.

In terms of ergonomics, all devices seem huge but they're lightweight and have very nice grips.

Button and port orientations are identical for OPPO A94 and Samsung Galaxy A32 except for the left and right sides. The former has its volume buttons on the left while the latter has both the volume and power buttons on the right.

The 3.5mm headphone jack slot, first of the dual speaker, microphone, and IR blaster are on top of the Redmi Note 11. At the bottom, we find the second speaker, USB-C charging slot, and secondary microphone.

The triple-slot SIM tray lies lonely on the left side of the handset. Meanwhile, the volume rocker and power button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner are on the right side.

Multimedia Experience

AMOLED screens
AMOLED screens

Redmi Note 11 features a 6.43-inch Gorilla Glass 3 protected AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, AdaptiveSync tech (60/90Hz), 180Hz touch sampling rate, and FHD+ resolution.

The OPPO A94 has a 6.43-inch 2.5D curved Dragontrail Pro protected AMOLED screen with 180Hz touch sampling rate, FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution, and 409 ppi.

Lastly, Samsung Galaxy A32 features a 6.4-inch 2.5D curved Super AMOLED screen w/ 90Hz refresh rate, FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution at 411 ppi, and a notch (Infinity-U).

All three feature similar screen sizes, however, only the Redmi Note 11 and Samsung Galaxy A32 have the 90Hz refresh rate displays.

All 3 have impressive AMOLED screens, Redmi Note 11 is the most affordable with a 90Hz refresh rate!

Touch responsiveness is accurate for all devices and has 10 points of multitouch. All devices gave us immersive display experiences with good viewing angles.

In terms of audio, Redmi Note 11 has dual stereo speakers strategically placed on the left top and right bottom of the smartphone. Meanwhile, the OPPO A94 and Samsung Galaxy A32 have single grilles speakers placed at the bottom, but the former's a stereo.

All speakers delivered quality sound even at higher volumes but Redmi Note 11's dual stereo speakers take the lead. Using the 3.5mm headphone jack or Bluetooth headphones is still recommended for a more immersive experience.

The three handsets have dual-mics for calls and recording. All deliver good quality audio during calls and recordings.

Finally, the Samsung Galaxy A32 sports a quad-camera setup consisting of a 64MP main, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP macro, 5MP depth sensors, and LED flash. Its Infinity-U notch houses the 20MP selfie camera.

During daylight, the trio takes wonderful photos. However, Samsung Galaxy A32 wins this set. It's the most natural-looking with good exposure, contrast, and saturation. OPPO A94's, on the other hand, have excessive brightness and enough details. Redmi Note 11 produces a soft image lacking what the Galaxy A32 has.

The same goes with the wide versions of the auto daylight images. Forgive us, we weren't able to turn on the watermarks in these photos.

The same holds true indoors. The store's lighting is white not warm white as to how the Redmi Note 11 and OPPO A94 captured the photo. Samsung Galaxy A32 is the closest when it comes to color accuracy as well as ample brightness, details, sharpness, and contrast.

Redmi Note 11 creates the deepest bokeh effect among the three. It also takes the "darkest," meaning lacking in exposure. OPPO A94 takes a great portrait image as you can see in the sample. It's also where I'm most "maputi" (white skin, LOL). Samsung Galaxy A32 also produced a beautiful bokeh photo. Similar to the A94, it has ample details, contrast, and sharpness. The only problem could be the amount of exposure.

The trio provided us with different takes using night mode. Redmi Note 11 produced the brightest night photo. The details are visible as well as the image's softness.

The toned-down night mode is evident on OPPO A94's shot. The details are there but the image is soft, too. The Samsung Galaxy A32's night image is the least soft among the three. The details are also the most visible here, however, it lacks brightness.

Redmi Note 11 does not allow an ultra-wide lens when using night mode. As for the OPPO A94 and Samsung Galaxy A32, the former seemed to take a better image this time.

Selfie Camera Samples

If there's one mistake we did during our tests with the three handsets, that is not being able to take daylight selfies. We apologize for overlooking this part, but you can take a look at our previous review articles for Redmi Note 11 and OPPO A94 for sample selfies for this category.

Unfortunately, we can't redirect you to our Samsung Galaxy A32 review as we don't have it.

Moving to indoor selfies, Note 11 gave us a soft selfie that looks like a beautified one even if we didn't set any. But it has a nice amount of exposure and some details. We expected OPPO to put up a close fight with the Galaxy A32, however, it fell behind in terms of sharpness and amount of detail. But it's better than the Redmi's.

Samsung Galaxy A32 clearly wins this category. It has everything we need in a selfie. Take a look at the details it captured, sharpness, colors, and brightness.

The same battle applies with selfie portrait mode. Note 11 has a nice bokeh selfie but has soft details. Looking at the A94's bokeh selfie, we notice better details, sharpness, contrast, and exposure. However, Galaxy A32 surpasses it again as seen in the sample photo. The details are better as well as the colors, sharpness, contrast, and brightness.

Both the Redmi Note 11 and OPPO A94 have no wide selfie when using night mode. The former has a brighter night selfie while the latter produced a better night selfie with the right amount of exposure, contrast, and colors—all of these while retaining the details of the subject.

Finally, the Samsung Galaxy A32's night selfies seemed like a low-key combination of Note 11's brightness and A94's details.

In terms of gaming, Redmi Note 11 is only comfortable with the lowest settings for popular games (e.g., Mobile Legends: Bang Bang). Heavy games such as Genshin Impact and Call of Duty are playable, however, do not expect a smooth experience even in the low settings.

The OPPO A94, on the other hand, can handle games at "high" as its default setting. Below is the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang game setting that we got. However, expect it to fall short in playing heavier and more demanding games like Genshin Impact.

Samsung Galaxy A32 is at par with the Redmi Note 11's gaming performance.

Redmi Note 11 is packed with a 5,000mAh battery with 33W pro fast charging support. In real-life usage, it can last up to a day and a half! This is composed of texts, calls, social media, music playbacks, and casual gaming.

Running Redmi Note 11's software department is the Android 11-based MIUI 13. It has pesky pre-installed third-party apps but the MIUI on this phone delivered a premium-level experience. We were impressed with its overall optimization and user-friendliness.

OPPO A94 has Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1. It is clean with no bloatware. Its overall look and experience can suit most people, if not all.

While the Samsung Galaxy A32 runs on the Android 11-based One UI 3.0. The look and experience are familiar especially if you're a fan of the brand.

Verdict

Under PHP 14K smartphones battle
Under PHP 14K smartphones battle

Among the three, Redmi Note 11 carries the most affordable price tag. It also has a better display, better performing CPU and GPU, bigger internal storage (if expanded up to 1TB), 33W fast charging support, IP water splash resistance (which the two don't have), stereo speakers, and IR blaster.

Meanwhile, OPPO A94 boasts a bigger RAM, better night selfies, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Finally, Samsung Galaxy A32 highlights its camera performance, better connectivity specs, in-display fingerprint sensor, and Dolby Atmos feature.

Minus the camera and in-display fingerprint sensor, Redmi Note 11 has the best overall performance among the trio. You're getting everything we mentioned for PHP 8,999 (4GB/64GB) or PHP 9,999 (6GB/128GB). However, you need to put up with its cameras.

If you're using smartphones for the sake of cameras, we recommend picking the Samsung Galaxy A32. And if a power-efficient memory matters to you, we suggest going for the OPPO A94.

What do you guys think?
