The Ryzen 5000C processors run on the x86 platform and are based on AMD's popular Zen 3 architecture. The CPUs are extremely energy efficient, as they are manufactured using a 7nm technology and consume just 15 watts. The Ryzen 5000C also has improved connection, since all Ryzen 5000C models include WiFi 6E compatibility and support for quicker charging.

Here are the AMD Ryzen 5000C processors:

AMD Ryzen 3 5125C 2c/4t - Up to 3.0GHz, 7nm, VEGA Graphics, 3 GPU Cores at 1.2GHz. 15W TDP
AMD Ryzen 3 5425C 4c/8t - Up to 4.1GHz, 7nm, VEGA Graphics, 6 GPU Cores at 1.5GHz. 15W TDP
AMD Ryzen 5 5625C 6c/12t - Up to 4.3GHz, 7nm, VEGA Graphics, 7 GPU Cores at 1.6GHz. 15W TDP
AMD Ryzen 7 5825C 8c/16t - Up to 4.5GHz, 7nm, VEGA Graphics, 8 GPU Cores at 1.8GHz. 15W TDP

The top-tier Ryzen 7 5825C will be the first-ever 8-core high-performance X86 processor for the Chromebook. It is touted to be 107 percent faster than its predecessor Ryzen 7 3700C and has up to 85 percent more graphical performance too. The AMD 5000C series could also offer up to 94 percent more battery due to its 7nm architecture and 15W TDP.

These will all be good upgrades as Google is adding more features to Chromebooks such as Android app support, Steam Alpha, and better cloud gaming solutions.

If you are looking forward to getting yourself a Ryzen 5000C Chromebook, AMD has announced that the company has collaborated with its partners, HP and Acer to bring these notebooks to market by Q2 and Q3 of 2022.
